According to the Public Relations Office of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Hossein Imani Jajarmi has been appointed as the Director of the Institute for Social Studies and Research at the University of Tehran, following an official decree by Dr. Seyed Hossein Hosseini, President of the University of Tehran.

Dr. Imani Jajarmi, a faculty member of the Social Development department, has an extensive academic and research portfolio, including the authorship and translation of 16 books and over 50 research articles. (C.V)

He previously served as the Administrator of the Institute from 2014 to 2019. Established in 1958, the Institute is one of Iran’s oldest and most prestigious centers for social sciences research.

Journal of Social Studies and Research in Iran
The Institute also publishes the quarterly peer-reviewed journal "Social Studies and Research in Iran", which focuses on theoretical and empirical research in the field of Iranian social studies.
